The Queensland Business Basics Grants Program offers support to businesses looking to enhance their core skills and implement best practices. Applicants can seek funding for grant-eligible activities within the key areas of Strategic Marketing Services and Website Development and Upgrades with our team.

Business Basics Grants Program Information
To qualify for this grant, your business must meet the following criteria at the time of application:
Employ fewer than 5 staff (including full-time, part-time, casual employees, and Non-Executive Directors).
Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and remain operational throughout the grant period.
Maintain a registered Queensland headquarters as per your Australian Business Register (ABR) record during the grant period.
Have at least 1 year of trading history.
Have a maximum turnover of $300,000 for the last financial year (2023/24).
Not have previously received funding under a Business Basics round.
Not be insolvent or have owners/directors who are currently bankrupt (this must be maintained throughout the grant period).
Payment: Upfront payment on approval
Applying through the DESBT SmartyGrants portal is free once the grant round opens. Applicants will receive notifications regarding their outcomes at the end of each stage (ROI shortlisting and full application). This grant program is assessed competitively in two stages, meaning not all applications will receive funding:
Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) closes for applications at 5pm on Friday, October 11, 2024.
